Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore will announce the starting quarterback on August 25th. While true freshman Bryce Underwood is the presumptive starter, Moore wants to see more consistency and leadership. The competition includes Underwood, Jadyn Davis, and Jake Garcia, while Mikey Keene is still recovering from injury.

Michigan is set to begin its most pivotal stretch of the offseason this week. Beginning Wednesday, the Wolverines will embark on a four-day run of practices in training camp where position battles will be decides and depth charts will come together,

Moore also noted that he will announce the starting quarterback on Monday, August 25, in the early afternoon: “Set your clocks,” Moore added. While we must wait another 12 days for the reveal, the assumption is that Underwood will be thrown into the fire right off the bat.
