The Tennessee Vols will be looking to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive this weekend in a home matchup against the Oklahoma Sooners. Tennessee is 6-2 with losses to the Georgia Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Tennessee first played Oklahoma in the 1939 Orange Bowl following its national championship season in 1938. The Vols shut out Oklahoma, 17-0, to complete an undefeated season. The two teams also played in the 1967 Orange Bowl with the Sooners winning, 26-24. Oklahoma won at home in 2014, recording a 34-10 victory.

Tennessee announced its uniform combination versus the Sooners on Monday. The Vols will wear dark mode uniforms against Oklahoma at Neyland Stadium. Oklahoma leads the all-time football series, 3-2, against the Vols, dating to Jan. 2, 1938. Tennessee won at Oklahoma, 25-15, last season on Sept. 21, 2024.
