The two first-round selections made their NFL debut in Friday night's preseason opener against the Detroit Lions. Neither player lit up the stat sheet, but there was still plenty to like. Pearce got after the quarterback and recorded three QB hurries.

After getting dominated from start to finish by the Los Angeles Chargers in the Hall of Fame game, Detroit Lions fans are happy that we’re on to another weekend of preseason action. While the 34-7 loss is utterly meaningless, it’s best that taste gets washed out as soon as possible, even if Detroit remains near the top of the Super Bowl odds.

The Detroit Lions will face the Atlanta Falcons, who will kick off their 2025 preseason at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Friday.
