Charles Leclerc reveals who he is betting $1 on to win F1 title in ‘lot to lose’ assessment
Much of the talk going into the Mexican weekend has been on Verstappen’s title charge which has seen him reduce the gap to 40 points. Asked about his verdict, Leclerc said if he had to bet, he would still go with one of the McLaren drivers.
Charles Leclerc has admitted he is not surprised by the late title charge from Max Verstappen, which is putting pressure on both McLaren drivers. The Scuderia Ferrari driver explained how Verstappen has consistently been at the top of his game before touching on how the Red Bull team has continued to push their development.
Currently, Oscar Piastri leads Lando Norris by 14 points. However, Red Bull star and reigning champion Max Verstappen is threatening to take the title away from McLaren. Having trailed by more than 100 points before the summer break, the Dutchman has cut the gap to Piastri to just 40 points after winning three out of the last four races.
Oscar Piastri hopes his past experiences can help him in the F1 championship as he prepares for the Mexican Grand Prix.
