Utah Mammoth forward Alex Kerfoot is expected to miss at least two more months due to injury, the team says. Kerfoot underwent surgery to “repair a core muscle injury,” the Mammoth announced Friday. Kerfoot is set to miss the next 8-10 weeks.

With Kerfoot months out from returning, Utah will need to continue to rely on Michael Carcone to fill in on the third line. So far, Carcone has played pretty well with Lawson Crouse and Jack McBain, registering an assist and a goal in six games played.
