Zohran Mamdani held a three-day wedding party at his family's secluded compound in Buziga Hill, a posh neighbourhood on the outskirts of Kampala, Uganda's capital.

While Mamdani and his bride, 27-year-old artist Rama Duwaji, eloped quietly in Dubai earlier this year, the celebration in Uganda was their official family gathering-held at the luxurious residence of Mamdani’s parents, acclaimed filmmaker Mira Nair and political theorist Mahmood Mamdani.

The celebrations took place at the Mamdani family's expansive property in the upscale Buziga Hill neighbourhood outside Kampala. The area is home to some of Uganda’s wealthiest, with surrounding properties reportedly valued at over $1 million.
