A peaceful protest by hundreds of people in downtown Las Vegas on Wednesday evening calling for an end to immigration enforcement raids escalated into confrontations with law enforcement.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Las Vegas police have declared an ICE protest in the downtown area Wednesday an “unlawful assembly.” A flyer of an emergency protest was shared on social media titled “From LA to Vegas, ICE OUT!” It was planned for Wednesday at 7 p.m.

There were confrontations in several cities, and downtown Los Angeles was under curfew for a second night. Protests in other cities, including New York, ended peacefully.
