Joseph Quinn won’t return

Despite fan speculation and teases from Joseph Quinn himself, Matt Duffer has confirmed Eddie Munson will not be back for 'Stranger Things' season 5.
Matt’s not wrong about Quinn’s stacked resume. Since his 2022 stint on “Stranger Things,” the actor has starred in “A Quiet Place: Day One,” “Gladiator II,” “Warfare,” and “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.”
Of all the fan-favorite characters to perish on "Stranger Things," Eddie Munson is still Gaten Matarazzo's favorite.
For those of you who missed last season of "Stranger Things," Quinn's character was mauled to death by Demobats in the Upside Down — which, for the record, does not look like a peaceful way to die. The Empire interview also scored intel on new character Dr. Kay (Linda Hamilton), who plays a government agent pursuing Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).
