Jon Jones formally called for a UFC White House matchup with Alex Pereira following Saturday's heavyweight title fight.
One fighter that was always going to comment on the unsatisfying outcome was the last man to successfully defend the heavyweight title. Following the months of back and forth between the two men that didn’t result in them sharing the Octagon with one another, Jon Jones will have been watching Tom Aspinall’s next fight closely.
Jones' message to Pereira came after current UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall retained his title against Ciryl Gane due to a no contest caused by an accidental eye poke during their fight at UFC 321. Shortly after the bout came to an end, Pereira called out Jones for a White House clash on Instagram.
