The assets of Joann Inc., the Hudson-based fabric and craft retailer, and its subsidiaries are set to be auctioned by order of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware on Friday. The in-person and virtual auction is expected to begin Friday at 9 a.m. in the New York City offices of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, according to bankruptcy court filings.

The closings are part of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Chapter 11 gives companies breathing room to get finances in order without going out of business.
