The demonstrations are part of a "national day of action" to protest Trump administration policies that target civil rights and human rights, according to Goodtroubleliveson.org.

Sarasota was one of 50 cities in Florida with over 400 hundred people in attendance protesting the Trump administration under the name "Good Trouble Lives On."

A majority of the protests are scheduled on July 17, the fifth anniversary of Lewis' death.
