According to the City of St. Charles, firefighters were called to search the area of Ferson Creek Park just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday after officials said two kayakers were fishing when one man fell out of his kayak and into the water, and never resurfaced.

The body of a missing kayaker was found in the Fox River after an accident occurred while night fishing, possibly involving a collision with a poorly lit boat.

Authorities in suburban St. Charles say that the body of a kayaker missing since Tuesday has now been located.
