Auburn and Arkansas will square off in an SEC game at CDT Saturday at Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Arkansas’ struggling defense faces a major test against Auburn’s low-scoring offense as both SEC teams battle to regain rhythm and spark on opposite sides of the ball.

Every high-flying offense has to have a general, and Taylen Green is far from an exception to the rule. On the season, Green boasts an impressive 1,910 passing yards and 17 passing touchdowns, complemented by 589 rushing yards and five more touchdowns with his legs.

Auburn was beaten by Missouri 23-17 on Saturday, Oct. 18. Arnold led Auburn with 207 yards on 18-of-30 passing (60.0%) for no touchdowns and one interception. He also carried the ball 17 times for 14 yards and one rushing touchdown. Cobb had 111 rushing yards on 19 carries. Coleman had six receptions for 108 yards.

The flip side to the power matchup of the explosive Arkansas offense against the stout Auburn defense is a less compelling, but no less important one.

Arkansas and Auburn have both lost close games in the conference. Auburn’s best win this season was 38-24 over Baylor to open the season. In SEC action, they have lost by 6, 10, 6 and 7 points. Arkansas has lost by 3, 6 and 3 points.

As Auburn looks to break a 4-game losing streak, it goes back on the road to face another team trying to get off the mat. Arkansas is the next team up for the Tigers in a battle of team fighting for their first SEC win.
