The Seattle Mariners had one of their best offensive showings in recent weeks in a 9-4 win against the Chicago Cubs on Friday. The Mariners had 13 hits and outscored the Cubs 7-0 after the fifth inning to pull off the win.

The Mariners lost to the Cubs in a game that featured five home runs, surely aided some by the wind, some erratic fielding and a couple of scary moments.

Extreme heat and howling winds made for a home-run heaven for hitters, but it wreaked havoc on defenders and even got dangerous, with an umpire and Mariners pitcher leaving the game.
