Excellent trail for all levels as if it becomes too strenuous, you can turn around. It is well maintained and offers ample rest spots to take in beautiful views of the park, overlooks of golf cours…Full review by amelulu
I am handicapped and use an electric scooter when travelling. Would the trail at Pinnacle Peak Park be accessible for me either partly or entirely? If not this Park, can anyone tell me easy trails that would accommodate me and my scooter? My husband and I will be in Scottsdale for 1 1/2 days during Memorial Day weekend. Thanks so much for your help!

I don't recommend this trail for a scooter or wheel chair. Too steep and rocky.
Is there anywhere to store luggage while you hike?

Would Pinnacle Peak be a good hike for my 9 year olds to hike? We are new to hiking? If not what would you suggest?

Hope this doesn't come too late to help. We actually didn't think it was all that neat. Just up up up and down. Just across The entrance to PP on Alma School Rd is the road to Toms Thumb trail head. It's a little bit of a drive but great hiking trails ranging from easy desert walking to rock climbing. Also Browns Ranch trail head had some good hikes but we like TT the best. Good for all levels of hikers
I plan to go hiking at McDowell Sonoran Preserve; will it be pretty much the same type of scenery/views at Pinnacle Peak? Just wondering if it is worth the time to visit both places with limited time.

It depends. If you like desert hikes, the two you describe are different enough to be enjoyable. But if you are the sort of person who might say, "seen one desert, seen them all" they are somewhat similar vistas. They are different levels of challenge too. The Go John trail and Tom Thumb are both significantly more different than the two you mention.
